This is a key role with our client to build and manage their sales presence across North America; driving an established business to new levels and into new markets.  They have a leading branded product which is geared to residential and commercial applications and marketed through a multi channel sales strategy.  The initial focus will be to strengthen, train and motivate your sales team, so that it is focused on well defined goals, strengthening customer relationships and professional account management.  You will play a direct role in the major and more complex sales proposals and commercial negotiations.   In collaboration with marketing and other groups you will help develop their future strategy for bringing the product to new customers and into additional markets. This will include establishing successful channel and partner programs.

You have built an exceptional track record as a manager in a national/international sales environment and demonstrated your ability to build, lead and motivate a remote sales team.  In addition you must have experience dealing with multi-channel distribution and sales, preferably with a consumer related product and with both B2B and B2C exposure.  You can develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan using current and developing sales technologies and tools. This should include a clear understanding of concepts such as VOC, value selling, funnel management, e-Business, etc. In this respect a Business or related degree, (possibly an MBA) along with professional sales management training would all be assets in the performance of this role.  Naturally you must have strong communication, relationship building, presentation and organization skills.   The position will require between 30-40% travel through North America.
